About PWAC London & Southwestern

Ontario Chapter

In 1976, a group of freelance writers started meeting to share information and stories about writing for Canada's magazines and newspapers. They quickly realized that when writers worked together about issues related to their profession that they could more effectively protect their interests and strengthen the writing community as a whole.

Today PWAC has almost 600 freelance writer members in chapters across Canada. This is the home page for the London & Southwestern Ontario Chapter of PWAC.

Though most of our members reside in London, Ontario, we do have members in Windsor, Stratford and other areas in Southwestern Ontario. We generally meet informally to share ideas, markets and camaraderie once a month. We also offer seminars, open to the public, throughout the year.
