Professional Member

To qualify as a professional member, you must have a solid track record as a professional non-fiction writer in Canada. You must have published a number of articles in newspapers, magazines and/or Web sites in Canada in the past 24 months. Working as a staff writer, other major writing projects and non-fiction books also count towards your application.

Associate Member

To qualify as an associate member, you must have sold one non-fiction article to any newspaper, magazine or website in Canada in the past 12 months. Most associate members upgrade within a year after joining PWAC.
 

Student Member

To qualify as a student member, you must be registered as a full-time student at a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.
