Here's what some of our members have to say about PWAC
I had known about PWAC for years, and I am glad that after almost 20 years as a full-time freelance writer, I finally decided to join. Almost immediately, my local chapter made me aware of a teaching position at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology, and I was soon afterwards hired to teach two writing courses. Life is a life-long journey, and you’re never too accomplished to learn something new, every day. PWAC does that for me, and I look forward to networking face-to-face with my fellow chapter members in the near future. -Jeffrey Reed
I joined PWAC in August 2006. Since that time, my annual writing income has grown by more than 40 per cent. Much of this growth can be attributed to the inspiration and guidance I've received from fellow PWAC members. It's a privilege to be part of an organization that works so diligently to ensure that writers are treated as professionals and are compensated fairly for their work." -Kevin Glew
"I have been a member of PWAC since 1996 and continue to reap the benefits of this great organization. PWAC is a caring and sharing community of writers. Without PWAC my freelance writing career would not be as successful as it is today. I attribute 80% of my income directly, or indirectly, to PWAC, and I have made friends through PWAC who will be my friends for life." -Suzanne Boles
I've been a member of PWAC for almost 20 years. That I've more than made back my membership fees over the years thanks to referrals of work from other members or just the sharing of information about markets is wonderful. But how do you measure the friendships, the fun, and yes, even the family spirit that pervades this organization? I joined because I thought PWAC might tangibly help my writing career; it has, but it's the intangibles of knowing terrific writers - friends - here and across the country that make it such a fantastic organization to belong to. -Mark Kearney
